Dogs are indeed gross; however, there is nothing so gross and disturbing to me as that spasmodic heaving, about to heave your guts out thing that cats do just before they present you with a hairball--or worse.

Our inside cat did that about three times in a row in different places a few days ago. But I don't find that as disgusting as the dogs' interest. Each of course has its distinctive charms.

Well, our dog was outside, so he never got a chance at the goodies.

And the thing is, whether inside or out, you know dogs have been doing stuff like this and then they want to lick your face.
